How to Turn on Routine Safety Checks

To monitor and track routine checks using Sage, follow the steps below to ensure all resident care is logged accurately and timely.

Routine check reminders must be activated in each resident’s profile by a manager—residents will not automatically generate reminders until this option is toggled on.

Turning on Routine Checks

  1. To enable Routine Checks
  2. Open the resident’s profile
  3. Tap the Edit icon
  4. Toggle on Routine Checks Tap Update to save your changes.

Once enabled, a timer will appear around the resident's profile icon, visually indicating when the next check is due.

Viewing Routine Checks from the Today tab

  1. From the Today tab tap +Add Residents displayed in the Care Assignment section of the page
  2. Select individual or groups of residents you wish to monitor
  3. Tap Save to continue

Logging ANY care or responding to a resident alert will reset their routine check timer. Overdue routine checks indicate that no one has recently interacted with the resident and they should be checked on as soon as possible to ensure their safety.
