Assigning a Unit Button

Follow the steps below when assigning a new unit button.

Note in order to assign a unit button the user must have the following permissions;

  1. In the Management Group 
  2. Set as a Management Admin in the group settings

Assigning a Unit Button

  1. Tap on the Device Management shortcut found on the Today tab
  2. Select the Units section from the top of the page
  3. Make sure to filter the Ward type (ie Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living) to ensure you are assigning the unit button to the correct unit type.
  4. Find and tap on the unit you wish to assign a button to.
  5. Tap on Assign Button at bottom of this page.
  6. Follow the prompts on screen. With the physical Sage button in your hand, press the button once.
  7. After a few short moments you should see a new button appear on the Assign Button screen.
  8. Tap on the newly displayed button that has appeared and then tap Select at the bottom of the screen.
  9. Confirm the details of the button assignment on the next screen. Noting the location of the button in the unit.
  10. Tap Assign Button when you are ready to proceed.
  11. Once completed, you will see a Button assigned successfully banner appear on the screen.

Once assigned, we recommend testing the button to confirm it is setup properly and working as expected.

Unassigning a Unit Button

  1. Tap on the Device Management shortcut found on the Today tab
  2. Select the Units section from the top of the page
  3. Find and tap on the unit you wish to unassign a button from
  4. Tap on the button you wish to unassign.
  5. Tap Unassign Unit Button at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Confirm by tapping Unassign Unit Button in the pop-up.
  7. Once completed, you will see a Unit Button unassigned successfully banner appear at the top of the screen.
