Staff profiles can be created and managed from the Team tab. Management can add new staff members, update profile details, and adjust permissions such as alert notifications or access to edit resident health records.
Reminder: To add new staff members or change permissions, the user must be in the Management Group and set as a Management Admin in the group settings. Staff members may update their own contact information, but cannot modify permissions unless they have Management Admin access.
Adding New Team Member
- Navigate to the Team tab.
- Click New Team Member.
- Enter the staff member’s details.
- Assign the desired Group Membership.
- Enable Receive Care Alerts.
- Click Add Team Member to save.
Adding Team Member to Care Staff Group
Note: If a team member wasn’t assigned during the new team member creation process, follow these steps to add them to the care Staff group.
- Navigate to the Team tab.
- Select the Care Staff group.
- Click Add Member.
- Select desired team member.
- Click Continue to save.
Adding Nurses
Note: In order to receive nurse observation escalations - users must be in the Nurse group. When creating a new profile be sure to also select Nurse/Medtech from the dropdown.
Adding Management Staff
Note: Only users set as Management Admins can add team members or manage permissions. When creating a new profile be sure to also select Management from the dropdown. In order for a manager to receive alert escalations and have profile editing permissions follow these additional steps.
Setup Management Escalations
- Once the profile has been created and saved - Navigate to the Team tab.
- Select the Care Staff group.
- Find the name of the manager you wish to enable escalations for - click on their name.
- From the pop up menu select Make Group Admin.
- This management profile will now receive alert escalations.
Setup Management Editing Permissions
- Once the profile has been created and saved - Navigate to the Team tab.
- Select the Management group.
- Find the name of the manager you wish to enable additional permissions for - click on their name.
- From the pop up menu select Make Group Admin.
- This management profile will now have the ability to edit profiles in Sage.
