New Resident: Creating a Resident Profile & Assigning a Pendant

Adding a Resident to the Community

Follow this guide when adding a resident to your community. When adding a resident to Sage they must first have their basic profile created. Once their basic profile is made there are additional steps to ensure the resident's profile is completed. Please see the list below, for a full list of steps to complete a residents profile please reference the Admin How-tos and Article Links.

  • Add Resident to Sage
  • Assign Unit
  • Assign Personal Pendant
  • Update DNR Status
  • Update ADL Data
  • Update Contacts (Emergency, Doctor, Hospital)

From the Residents Tab

  1. From the home screen tap on the Residentes menu at the bottom center of the screen
  2. On the Residents screen, tap on the Add Resident bubble at the bottom right of the screen
  3. Fill in the fields required for the new resident entry and be sure to tap save after reviewing your work

From the Today Tab

  1. From the home screen tap on the Today tab at the bottom left of the screen
  2. Find and tap on the Add Resident shortcut
  3. Fill in the fields required for the new resident entry and be sure to tap save after reviewing your work

Assigning a Pendant to a Resident

Note in order to assign a resident pendant the user must have the following permissions;

  1. In the Management Group 
  2. Set as a Management Admin in the group settings
  1. Tap on the Button Management shortcut found on the Today tab
  2. Find and select the resident from the list. (*note, the resident profile must be created in Sage before assigning a button)
  3. From the resident's button management screen, find and tap on the Assign Button button at the bottom of the page.
  4. With the physical Sage button in your hand, press the button once.
  5. After a few short moments you should see a new button appear on the Assign Button screen.
  6. Tap on the newly displayed button that has appeared and then tap Select at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Confirm the details of the button assignment on the next screen. Noting the resident's full name and care type.
  8. Tap Assign Button when you are ready to proceed.
  9. Once completed, you will see a Button assigned successfully banner appear on the screen.

Once assigned, we recommend testing the button to confirm it is setup properly and working as expected.
