Managing Daily Check-In's

Knowing each resident is accounted for each day is an important task to ensure the health and safety of your community. With Sage, each apartment has a check-in button. You can monitor which residents have checked-in as well as check them in manually as needed.

Check In Status

  1. Log in to Sage and be sure you are working in the Independent Living care zone.
  2. The Today tab will show you the list of residents who have not checked in yet for that day. You will also see any reported and unclaimed resident emergencies from this screen as well. (See Emergency Alerts for more information)

Please note that check ins are monitored by unit and not by resident. Units with multiple residents will only have to press their button once per day to account for everyone living in that unit. All units are expected to press the Check-In button by 10:30am in their room each day to let the facility know they are ok.

Manually Checking In Residents

  1. On the Today tab you will see the number of units remaining to be checked in for the day in the IL Check-ins section.

  2. Follow your facilities guidelines for when and how to account for any residents who have not checked-in themselves. Best practice is to ensure all residents are accounted for by a specific hour, usually before noon.

  3. To check-in a resident on their behalf, tap on the IL Check-ins section in the Today tab.

  4. Find the resident and unit from the list on the next page. Tap on the unit to be checked in and tap Check-in Unit.

  5. Select method of confirmation with the resident: see them in person, spoke to them, or a team member either saw or spoke to them.

You can view the check in time of any previously checked in resident by navigating to their resident profile from the Facility tab
